Zakaria Taher Suman was born on December 15, 1965, in Sonaimuri village, Adra Union, Barura Upazila, Comilla, Bangladesh. He hails from a respected Muslim family and is the eldest son of the late A.K.M. Abu Taher, former Member of Parliament for Comilla-8 (Barura), prominent industrialist, and former Chairman of National Bank. Inspired by his father’s vision and leadership, Mr. Suman became actively engaged in business, social welfare, and politics from an early age.

Mr. Taher earned his Bachelor degree in Business Management from University of West Virginia , USA.

Mr. Suman is the Managing Director of Armana Group of Companies, a leading conglomerate in Bangladesh’s ready-made garment (RMG) sector. Under his dynamic leadership, the group has expanded its operations significantly, contributing to the nation’s industrial growth and employment generation. His companies currently employ around 25,000 men and women, reflecting his commitment to social responsibility and economic development.

Mr. Zakaria Taher is a distinguished entrepreneur and businessman in Bangladesh. He has also served as an elected Director of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and holds leadership positions in several organizations across the banking and insurance sectors. His strategic vision and entrepreneurial excellence have established him as one of Bangladesh’s foremost industrialists and exporters.

In his personal life, Mr. Suman is a devoted family man, blessed with one son and one daughter. Through his continuous dedication to innovation, employment, and social welfare, he remains a significant contributor to Bangladesh’s business landscape and national development.
